Welcome, You’re Now Inside My Head...

Hey Friends!

My name is Danielle Colley, a proud African Nova Scotian digital artist.

I started creating art at a very young age. It started like every young millennial artist; our traditional paper and a pencil, a bedroom kid childhood, and a love of Bob Ross.

Like most poor ’90s kids, back when our cable was cut but you still had five channels, with PBS being one of them; I discovered Bob Ross. I would paint with him ALL THE TIME, and I would wholeheartedly say he’s fully the reason I fell in love with art. So much so that my grandmother would just pour into me by always saying, “Danielle, you’re gonna be an artist one day.” and from those words, I always promised myself that I was going to do exactly that and make her proud… and low-key, Bob Ross too despite only knowing him from TV lol…

In 2015, I graduated from The Centre for Arts and Technology with a Graphic Design and Web Development Diploma, which ultimately introduced me to the world of digital art as well. After graduating, I freelanced with a small local design company on more corporate graphic design related projects, but at a certain point I got bored and I missed making art and being creative outside of the corporate standards.

So here I am. I decided, for my peace and enjoyment to start building my digital art career. Something I know won’t be easy, but I’m fully prepared to take on not only to make my grandmother and Bob Ross proud, but myself and my community.

Watch me.

I'm just human, I have faults like anyone.“
