Can you feel that?… It’s January 1st, 2026
A new year usually comes with the idea of a fresh start. New ways to learn, new ways to grow, and maybe even a better way to love my art. At least, that’s what I keep telling myself lol… 🙃
When I look back on last year, my main focus was trying to build visibility on social media. That ended up meaning I was creating work my heart wasn’t fully in, hoping it would catch attention. Instead, it slowly burned me out.
I didn’t stop making art. I just stopped sharing it. I went quiet, kept to myself, and filled my hard drive with pieces no one has seen. By the end of the year, I realized I didn’t want to create for algorithms anymore. I wanted to create for me, and this blog feels like the right place to do that.
The pieces below were made back in October 2025 while I was playing around with sky paintings using RizzCraft brushes from True Grit Texture Supply. They were also the first ones I had printed so I could test Art of Where, and honestly, the quality surprised me in the best way.
Take a moment to look closely, especially at the line work.
Until next time,
Danielle
