Playing In The Light…
First of all… I ate this piece and left ZERO crumbs behind, not even for the ants.
…If that statement above didn’t say it all, I’m beyond proud of this piece but mostly because my of use of light rendering with the use of the colour wheel theory. Let me break it down for you below;
Rough sketch; I never add the full details until I start doing the baseline work to make this process faster.
Added details with colour before the light rendering; I tried to sticking the colour harmony theory when picking colours, using the pink cabinet as the main “anchor” colour.
Light rendering; this helps give the piece soooooo much more depth! My best tip for this is would be, NEVER use black or white if you don’t want to loose the quality or “pop” of you piece and PLAY with the blend modes! For this piece I used the linear light blend mode.
The final piece; Honestly, just refer to the top of the blog, I ATE THIS! And the flying orbs make it even better. I👏🏾AM👏🏾PROUD👏🏾
Below I added the Procreate timelapse of the full process and please leave a comment!
