I didn’t want to do Nina Simone’s beauty a disservice through my own style of art.

But by the time I reached the end, I surprised myself. I was proud enough to turn this into a style study, a edited timelapse video, and a social media post, because your girl really is that proud of her work.

While making this piece, I learned something important about myself.I need to stop underestimating what I’m capable of, because this turned out better than I ever thought it would.
